Really neat post from HERE about 7 abandoned cities and places in Asia. I’ve passed by this “pod city” alot of times, and everytime it really creeps me out. Aside from those pods, there’s this huuugeee red dragon statue that marks the entrance to it. (I’m not sure if it’s the entrance, no one really knows why it’s there).
According to the post, it ” was supposedly built by the government of Taipei to be a luxury resort for expensive holidays on the water. Built in the 1970s or early 1980s the modularity of the designs has raised retroactive suspicions that perhaps these stacks were intended to be built vertically over time. Theories on the abandonment of this massively strange undertaken range from poor insulation in a difficult climate, the dissolution of business partnerships, the failure of a regional real estate bubble or even that so many workers died during construction that the place was abandoned as haunted- unable to be destroyed out of a cultural taboo on interfering with the homes of spirits and lost souls. “
Pretty cool ey? Check out the post for more abandoned cities.
Ahaha found this on the internet.
This IT consulting fim asked over 1400 CIO’s weird questions they get from clients concerning tech support. CIOs were asked, “What is the strangest or most unusual request you or a member of your help desk or technical support team has ever received?”and here are some of my favorites. XD
* “Why isn’t my wireless mouse connected to the computer?”
* “My laptop was run over by a truck. What should I do?”
* “Can you rearrange the keyboard alphabetically?”
* “How do I read my e-mail?”
* “My computer is telling me to press any key to continue. Where is the ‘any’ key?”
* “There are animal crackers in my CD-ROM drive.”
HAHAHA~~
and here’s the entire post.
Can’t believe Sarah wants this. Usually she stays away from the sci-fi types. This looks like a cross between Lost in Space, Alien, and Biohazard 4. But considering how much we enjoyed Biohazard 4, I guess this might be another good item to add to our horror game collection. XD
Here’s the official website for Dead Space, set to come out in October for PS3, XBOX360 and PC.
My 4 year old 17″ BenQ LCD died today so I think my mom will let me get a new one! Yay! Hopefully I can upgrade to a 19″ LCD. =) or a cheap 22″. I think the 19″ will be more than enough though. I need to stop spending so much time on my computer. XD
I just wrote myself something here
This is a site where you can write the future you a letter. You can set the date to any future date, can be a year from now, 10 years from now, 20 years from now…. Really interesting huh? Write yourself one today!
Commercial for the Canon EOS KissX2, also named EOS 450D/Rebel XSi. Best commercial I’ve seen recently. On youtube that is, coz I’ve never seen this on TV. Here’s the print ad for it in Japan.

The tag line in the TV commercial is: “Capture your kids before it’s too late”. Pretty hilarious. I wonder if there’s a different commercial for each animal? I would reallllly want to see the penguin version, if there is one. >w< But I only found the one I posted above (bulldog). SOMEONE GIVE ME THE PENGUIN VERSION!!!!
You know I might really buy this camera just because I love this ad so much. -_- should I be stopped?
Got this here. HAHAHAHA so funny.
Google Chrome’s really good btw. It seems to eat alot of RAM though, so I’m still on Firefox.
I just finished watching this movie and it was just what I expected. The French really delivers it this time. The storyline was pretty simple, setting was even simpler, but somehow the simplicity is forgotten by the time you finish the movie. The whole situation was, to me; a bit ironic. The woman who wanted a baby lost it, and the woman who HAD the baby didn’t want it. The sadness of it just sinks in at the end and is hard to get over. The whole bathroom setup reminds me a bit of the scene in “The Shining” when Jack Nicholson sticks his face in the hole on the bathroom door. Okay just that part. This movie made me cringe a lot, probably because we usually treat pregnant women with care. All in all I liked the movie, it’s simple yet memorable, and is something more than torture porn.
Interesting!! I’d say it’s quite true too, but the part about them being alert to can openers, and the part about them hating dogs isn’t true for my kitty. My cat gets along with my dog pretty well. At first it was war of the worlds but it turned out fine.
As for the cat food part, I find it weird, but my kitty only likes dry cat food! He doesn’t like the canned ones, if I give him canned catfood he doesn’t really eat much. He enjoys the dry cat food much more (especially Friskies)! Isn’t it usually the other way around? Hmmmm….Oh and he doesn’t like sashimi either! I tried feeding him a slice of salmon sashimi (my favorite) once and he didn’t even want to touch it….Weird kitty…
